Create a Phrasee campaign – Salesforce Marketing Cloud

1 min , 23 sec read

1. Setup your split test in Marketing Cloud.

Select your recipients, attach an email body and apply sender settings. Phrasee will use all of this information to create the recommended number of test emails, with awesome subject lines of course.

Phrasee runs queries in Marketing Cloud to create the new randomised Data Extensions based on our recommended split size. This happens directly in your Marketing Cloud account, so we never touch any of your data.

And, the best bit? All of this processing is done in the background so you can get on with creating your subject lines.

2. Setup your Phrasee campaign.

Select the project you’re running the test in (if applicable) and give your campaign a name.

And, most importantly, put in your human line to test out against Phrasee. We bet Phrasee wins…

3. Generate and approve your subject lines.

Now it’s time for the most exciting part… subject lines! Tell Phrasee a little bit about the campaign that you’re running – it might be the product you’re promoting or a discount you have on. Phrasee will use this information and a whole bunch of other factors to generate you the optimal set of subject lines to test out on your audience. If there are any that aren’t quite right for this campaign, use the “not for me” tool to refine the set.

4. Approve and test your emails.

You can approve and test each of the email versions prior to scheduling or attach different email content if required.

5. Schedule the test send and select how to determine the winner.

Select when you want to send the test emails and how long you want to wait to send the winner. You’ll need to wait for Phrasee to finish processing the setup of the data extensions – you’ll get a notification email and the green bar that appears at the top of the page will disappear and allow you to proceed with scheduling.

And that’s it, your test emails will be created in Marketing Cloud and sent at the chosen time. And, the winner will be sent automatically when Phrasee processes the results of the test back into its learning engine.

5. Cancelling a scheduled campaign.

If for any reason, you need to cancel a campaign that has been scheduled, simply navigate to the view all campaigns list and click on the “Cancel sends”. You will need to delete the previously scheduled sends first before creating a new send, this can all be done directly in Phrasee
